Greetings, garden friends…
Yoga in the garden was so fun in February, thanks to all who came!
The garden has seen so much more action lately, it's wonderful. Teachers and volunteer parents are bringing classrooms out for activities of all kinds: reading, science, art, relaxation, and more. Nearly all the beds are being sewn with a variety of plants, fruits, veggies, and flowers from so many classrooms. Bees and birds are inspecting our handiwork every day. It's a good time to be outside.
This month, we ordered a pallet of compost to provide extra nutrients to the growing beds. There’s enough for two bags per plot. Extra hands will be useful during workdays to add it to the garden beds!

3) Last thoughts…
- Thank you to Ms. Barr, Sea Gate’s Media Specialist, who is the garden’s teacher liaison. She herself has adopted more than one garden bed. Come see her work and thank her next time you are in the library!
- You’ll see a new storage cabinet outside for teachers and volunteers. It's already cleaning the clutter so we can focus on the beautiful growing plants.
- Would you like a used garden wagon that needs new wheels? Reply today and its yours!
Thank you for supporting this labor of love for our children and the environment,
